NOW HIRING FOR SUMMER 2024

We are now hiring for our summer 2024 staff! Staff members must be 16 years of age or older by the beginning of the summer (7/1/2024). We have positions available for residential camp counselor, day camp counselor, maintenance staff, and kitchen staff. Lourdes Camp is looking for candidates that have an interest in working with children and possess leadership skills, maturity, creativity, open-mindedness, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and grow. Being a camp counselor provides individuals with experiences that are valuable beyond measure in any career path.

Lourdes Camp is a traditional summer camp for children. We will be running six one-week sessions with campers between the ages of 7 and 14. Staff members will collaborate to lead campers in a variety of activities and will work to ensure that all campers have a positive, fulfilling experience. Weeks run from Sunday afternoon to Friday evening; it is expected that staff members remain on property for the duration of this time (with the exception of day camp staff). Room and board will be provided at no cost to all staff members.

If you are interested in working at Lourdes Camp, please complete the application at the link below. Following the application, our Director will reach out to you to schedule an interview. If you have further questions about being a Lourdes Camp staff member, please email gvaga@lourdescamp.com.

Susan Delmonico Ross Scholarship

For over 75 years, Susan Delmonico Ross, currently 83 years young, has been an integral part of the Lourdes Camp family embarking on her journey at the age of 7 years old in 1948. Susan’s connection with camp has evolved from being a camper to a counselor and today, she continues to contribute to Lourdes Camp as a dedicated member of the Board of Directors.

This scholarship is being established as a heartfelt initiative by Susan’s granddaughter, Abby Jacobs and Susan’s “surrogate” granddaughter and Abby’s best friend, Ella Peck, both currently Juniors in High School. Out of love and admiration they want to pay tribute to Susan, affectionately known to them as “Nana”, for her unwavering dedication to Lourdes Camp and her commitment to enriching the lives of past, present, and future campers.

Join Abby and Ella in celebrating Susan Delmonico Ross’ legacy and spirit of Lourdes Camp that has bound generations together for over 80 years. This scholarship’s mission is a testament to the enduring friendships, life lessons, and cherished memories that define the Lourdes Camp experience.

Donate to Lourdes Camp

For 81 years Lourdes Camp has been giving under privileged children in the Central New York community the opportunity to spend a week at camp. This program has been offered to children of families that otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity to attend camp due to their families financial situation.

The Campership program is funded by alumni, parents of current campers, and generous corporate gifts from people all over the community and beyond. If you would like to donate a Campership in your name, please click the button below. If you would like to just make a donation to be used to create Camperships you may do the same.

There is no donation too big or too small and a little goes a long way in creating memories for a child that last a lifetime. Please feel free to contact me directly if you’d like to know more.
